Changes in Danske Invest Emerging Markets Equity Fund
The Board of Directors of Danske Invest Fund Management Ltd has decided to change the investment policy and regulations of the Danske Invest Emerging Markets Equity Fund. The aforementioned amendments have to do with changes made in investment strategy, the objective of which is to have a more systematic portfolio management style and a global emerging markets equity fund that would be more attractive to investors. The Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority confirmed the amended regulations on 2 January 2019. The amended regulations will be valid as of 9 April 2019.
In line with the new investment strategy, in the future, the fund will invest in emerging markets mainly through direct equity investments. Previously, investments were mainly made through other funds.
Section 5 of the fund regulations (“The Fund’s investment policy”) includes a clarification about the object markets of the fund’s investments, and a restriction has been added according to which the fund can invest a maximum of 10 per cent of its assets in units of other mutual funds or collective investment schemes. Otherwise, the wording and order of the restrictions concerning the section about the fund’s investment policy have been changed to correspond to the structure of the regulations of other equity funds managed by the management company.
In addition to the aforementioned amendments, the fund regulations have been updated based on regulatory changes. The fees of the fund remain unchanged.
Unit holders are not required to take any action in connection with the aforementioned amendments. Danske Invest Fund Management Ltd informs fund unit holders about the amendments to the regulations on its website at www.danskeinvest.fi.
